Get up close and personal with Maestro Kevin Rhodes and members of the Traverse Symphony Orchestra strings in an intimate performance of Franz Schubert’s chamber music and songs.

This Schubertiade explores the connection between words and music with three of Schubert’s most beautiful songs and the towering instrumental works based upon those songs. Special guests include TSO principal flutist Nancy Stagnitta and baritone Jeffery Norris, accompanied by Maestro Kevin Rhodes at the piano.

Within the elegant City Opera House, Maestro Rhodes and musicians of the TSO will emphasize the intimacy and subtlety of chamber music, which was originally composed for performance in small, private settings.  Patrons may enjoy the parlor party atmosphere with wine, available for purchase. The audience will surround the performers on all sides and enjoy a close, personal connection with the music, including the exclusive opportunity to sit on the stage.
