Join the TSO!
The quickly changing public health landscape requires an innovative new approach to sustainability to assure the TSO remains a strong cultural leader in our community – for years to come. Our exciting, new Membership Model combines the dedication of our season ticket patrons with the strength of our annual donor campaign. This is an opportunity to “Play a Part” – JOIN as a Supporting Member of the Traverse Symphony Orchestra.
In addition to enabling ongoing performances, your Membership will ensure the continued effectiveness of TSO’s educational program – from Tots@TADL, to our Civic Orchestras for students of all ages, to our engagement with the public schools, our education programs are reliant on your financial support.
All gifts of support are welcome in any amount and will be gratefully acknowledged with a receipt for your tax deduction. Ask about our reduced price Student Memberships! Consider gifting a membership to someone or perhaps an honorarium or memorial gift. Your gifts will demonstrate to philanthropic foundations the incredible support of our patrons as we apply for grants and financial support.
The IRS just released new information about charitable giving tax deductions in 2020 that will allow more people to more easily deduct up to $300, even if they don’t itemize . “Following special tax law changes made earlier this year, cash donations of up to $300 made before December 31, 2020, are now deductible when people file their taxes in 2021.” In addition, the CARES Act includes other temporary provisions designed to help charities, including higher charitable giving limits for individuals who itemize their taxes. Join as a Sustaining Member!
Members who make a 3 year commitment at any level will become Sustaining Members and will be recognized on a virtual donor wall and banner at each performance in perpetuity. Making this commitment now will ensure that the TSO has the resources to make long term commitments.
