The Traverse Symphony Orchestra’s first priority is the health and safety of all of our patrons, musicians, staff, and community partners. Therefore, in accordance with the TCAPS cancelation of all remaining in-person engagements for the 2019-2020 school year, we have postponed Spring 2020 events, and will reschedule in the 2020-2021 school year, as soon as it is safe to do so.
The TSO in the Schools program offers day-long instrument workshops focusing on woodwind, brass, string and percussion instruments. These workshops include master class instruction, ensemble performances, instrument care and maintenance, as well as instrument rental and purchase logistics hosted by local vendors. Workshop clinicians are musicians from the professional Traverse Symphony Orchestra as well as guest artists from throughout the state of Michigan.
Students in grades 5-12 are invited to participate in an all-day Violin clinic with area professional violin musicians and educators.
